Well I finally replaced my Chev Avalanche with a 2006 Volvo XC90 V8. Before anyone asks, yes I did take the 2005/2006 X5 4.4L out a few times and I hate to say, the Volvo is a much nicer ride, larger interior and the 311hp V8 engine (powered by Yamaha) is absolutely bullet proof. I got an amazing deal on it and all in all my wife (it's going to be hers) is super happy. I didn't like the ride of the X5 and it didn't seem to have as much power as the Volvo.

Belive it or not THE BIGGEST reason I walked away from the X5 is the fact that BMW does not sell trailer hitches for the 2005/06 X5's anymore. So I was forced to look for one with a hitch which I don't want because I don't know what it was towing. It was real weird because my dealer said they have been looking to BMW to make hitches to fit the X5's for years but BMW just dropped the ball on it altogether.

There are aftermarket hitches available but they required you to cut into the bumper which I wasn't keen on doing.

Here in Idaho we still think that a Volvo is part of a female's body..

My Sister has one... The third row of seats comes in handy at times, but no where near as refined as the BMW's
