Does anyone know if there are any other differences between the 2006 and 2005 other than the 2006 is more accurate? Has it got different software or something?

My Ride: 2006 M5, Silver Grey, Silverstone Full Leather, Alumium trim, Active/Ventilated Comfort Seats, HUD, Comfort Access, Split Rear Seats, Rear Seat Heating, etc.

You can buy the updated disk from the parts department at the dealer or, I think you might be able to buy them directly from NavTeQ.

I checked NavTeq and it seems that 2005.2 is the most recent map DVD for the E60.

That's correct. I was mistaken in thinking that the 2006 ver 1 was available...getting ahead of myself.

Make sure that you get the right version for your car. There two versions. You should to your BMW Parts Dept before ordering.
