Sounds like your dealer has used up his allocation of 2005 cars. I'm not sure that information can directly translate to other dealerships...

I just got an update from someone who is working with a local dealer on a new order. MY 2006 cars will be built (with new engines) this spring.
The pricing will be higher but it is not available yet...

I am so excited to be getting a 5er. Currently driving an 04 Acura TL which I got to replace a 330xi. Nice car...but I guess after having a BMW I've turned into some sort of driving snob. I've discovered that "torque steer" is actually all too real and not just car geeks talk about...
So, while I wait for my dealer to call me and tell me I can place my order, I guess I'll be lurking around e60.net trying to maintain my interest so I don't get cold feet...
