Dear e60 forum members:

...Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought this is still 2005, (Jk LOL), and I thought the new BMW 2006 would not come out for us to order until late 2005, does anyone know why BMW has elected to let us order 2006, {SEE BELOW}, so early in the year of May 2005 for, especially when the 2005's has just came out on the scene for a few months for ordering around Nov, DEC 2004.

I do know BMW changed the engine in the 530i from 225 HP to 255 hp for 2006.

Has there been anymore changes?

Thanks in advance.

If you are going to buy the car, make sure to get NAV. You will regret it if you don't.

You're a little late to the party. It will be a month since mine arrived at the dealer this coming Saturday.

Hi UUronL!

Yea I guess I am a little late for the 2006 model, because you know, if I wait until mid summer 2005 and if things keep going this way, then the new BMW 2007 5 series should be out! (Jk LOL)

I think Presley is just trying to stir up some mess...this has been argued and debated before. It is what it is...no "good" justification, just so...

==============

Good morning Aaron,

I am not trying to stir up as you say: "some mess", because I am not. It was just brought to my attention by some other BMW owners, that how just last April 2004, I took delivery on my brand new 2004, and then late in 2004, the next year 2005 came out as scheduled from BMW NA, {No Problem}, and now their throwing the 2006 at us in April of 2005, and if this hold true then for you then the 2007 will be out just as soon as you get your brand new 2007! (Is that what you would like to see happened to you also? If so, so be it, If you really took time to read my post I was asking what the deal was? I was totally unaware as you stated: "...this has been argued and debated before. It is what it is...no "good" justification, just so..." )

I suppose it is a good BMW business move, and if it was: "So Be it"...but just remember for what ever the reason shall be, now this new date thing has been set in motion for ones can follow.

Have a good day!

Sincerely,

R. Eddie Presley

PS,
By the way: Congratulations on your new 2006 525i to order, there is nothing I have found yet better than my new e60 BMW 530i. The genius Mr. Chris Bangle along with his BMW team really out did themselves with these new clean awesome designs.

Presley...I really thought you were just pulling our leg. I apologize for the incorrect assumption. For those that did purchase a 2004, it does suck. If they come out with the 2007 in March of next year, I will be on an adjusted track, but it will continue to be unfair for those of you that purchased before 2006. Hopefully, BMW will not make a trend of this, and since they didn't do it with the 545, I don't think they will. Also, this is strictly a US thing. Everywhere else in the world, it doesn't matter.

As for the order, Thanks!!! I am down to about 3 or 4 weeks, and I am getting very excited. Can't wait to take delivery.
