I got in my 550 yesterday morning and noticed my I-drive had reset itself and I lost my radio stations and some other presets. A month ago I had a CIP update and now I notice the car is not as smooth from a dead start and the throttle also feels a little jumpy. And, of course the CD continues to advance a song or two after the car is shut off. I'm curious if anyone else is experiencing these problems.

I had one morning where the car started and the settings were lost (not sure if it was the radio, but the time and date for sure). On the way home the other day I was listening to track#1 when I shut the car off and it ws on track#9 when I restarted the next morning. Also from start, either I have a very slow and deliberate start or the car is jumpy - so yea, I guess I have almost all of those issues. I'm at CIP 19 however.

Just had the CIP updated 2 weeks ago because the voice commands weren't working----- the cd still continues to play after I shut the car off.

I have some issues w/ i-drive (slow boot and response), jumpy throttle and transmission. I had it in the shop for leaky fuel pump and related parts, and was told I have the latest CIP!?

Also thought fuel pump was replaced, as stated on the invoive, until I got a call yesterday telling me the fuel pump finally came in. But that's a subject for another thread

So its not normal for the iDrive screen to show BMW for about 30secs before going into the lawyer screen? Because i noticed this in my 550i. It only does it when i park it somewhere for a long time.

Our cars take a bit longer to boot up.....not sure if it's the CIP we have on our 07's, or just the nature of the nav cars. Usually, if I can remember to hit the unluck button on my fob a minute or so before I get in, the car will go right to the lawyer screen.....not always, but 90% or better. I'm not keen on any CIP upgrades until I have a real issue.......always afraid of having one thing fixed, and 10 others screwed up!! I tried to get my SA to find out what CIP version was included with the car.....but for some reason, it just seems really hard to get that info....I'll wait until my first service visit........I have no realy issues with my car....just occasionally the CD player (changer) seems to start up in different places after being off.....I don't think it's continuing to play while off.....it just bounces all over the place.......
