My Ride: 520d m sport black, leather beige interior
Hi Guys,
I am new to the forum but i have reading many posts on here! Quite interesting i might say. I am Rene from Malta (EU) and I am deciding whether to complete a purchase on a 2005 525d bmw! It is an M Sport version. Car has 90,000 miles. Both body and paint look solid with only a few minor scratches on the front spoiler.... no big deal. Car is from UK. What are your views on buying a 2005 model with 90k on the clock? Also i found it strange that this car has a start/stop button for ignition. Wasn't that introduced in 2006 on 5 series models? Thanks!

Hey guys... i would appreciate any feedback on this at your earliest. Thanks
I bought my 04 in 2008 with around 90k on the clock. If the service book is good and the interior is good then who cares how many journeys it's taken.
I'll be putting up another 4 or 5 hundred miles this weekend driving from Dublin to Donegal and all over the place up there.
Good luck with whatever you decide anyway.
Kevin.

I guess it is quite standard, but it is one of the few 525d's that are for sale and the condition is good, as well as the price I guess. I have scheduled an RAC check for next week.
ANyone has any info re the start/stop engine button?

i bought a 55 plate 520d. its indeed 2006? cus its made in dec 2005. with 80k miles on the clock.
so far so good. nth went wrong. until recently i had my headlight retrofit n the parking sensor stops working for a min n it works again, so it comes n go. weird.
n my car has start n stop button.
i had the same worries in my mind lk u did. but every1 says if the car is maintained properly, n if u will. then it will b fine.
