Just got a call from my BMW dealership, Global BMW in Atlanta, GA, telling me there is a recall on my 2005 545i. I already have software v. 20.01.

Does anyone know what this new mandatory recall is about?

some frustration maybe because the 550 was launched shortly after you got your 545 delivered??.......

The last time my car was in for service, the tech told me that there was going to be a major recall coming for the E60. He said BMW was going to do it in waves to manage the volume of traffic at the service dept. He mention something having to do with the ignition coils and there is one for each cylinder. Maybe this "Mandatory Recall" is what he was referring to.

Wow even changing the ignition coils to slow down the 545s huh?
