2005 545i Gas lid/door won't open

My cars gas lid(2005-545i) won't open even if the doors are unlocked. I have to slide my credit card on the side and pry it open. I've read somewhere before that theres a manual cabin release lever in the trunk. I've been searching the web for it now but can't locate that particular step by step instruction. Can anyone please help?

Are you sure the button under the rubber grommet is not stuck in the "closed" position. You might try pushing the button with your finger to see if you can dislodge it. If so, you may need to pull the grommet and put some lubricant on the release button.
