2005 545 won't start!!!!

2005 545 car n it wont start!!! I thought it needed the new battery registration for the BMW EXIDE battery I replace it with so I tow it to the dealer. The dearler can't even figure it out cause the car won't start. All lights turn on normally when I turn the key but car won't start. When I try to turn it on it makes a tic tic tic noise, then when I turn the key all the way it give out one whinning noise, please help!! Car is at the dealer and they can't even figure it out! 3 days at the dealer so far

That's pretty strange since those all sound like the symptons of a dead or dying battery. You would think that the dealer would have tried jump-starting the car or charging the battery... 3 days at the dealer and they can't figure it out... I would take it to a different place.

Whinning noise? It could be the starter motor?

My Ride: 2006 525XI, Jet black on Dakota beige. Premium and winter packages. I consider myself a purist and intend to keep my car absolutely stock and shiny. 2008 328I Convertible, Sapphire black on beige interior. Premium package, NAV, iPod adapter. Retired: 2002 325I, Titanium silver on black leather. Premium package. Absolutely stock and proud of it.

I'm no expert, but it really sounds like a bad starter or something along that line.

had the same issue 2 weeks ago and i changed the starter and it turned right over

Sounds like the starter. I would take it to another dealer if the current one hasn't checked the starter yet. Probably racking up diagnostic hours on you!!

Thanks for the replies, I mention the starter to the dealer but quickly said no it can't b the starter. N ask for more diagnostic time! Tomorrow I'm stopping by n demanding that they check it I mean I'm no expert but if I'm right they better not charge me for the extra diagnostic hours cause Ive been ask them to check the starter! fuc$!ng stealers!!

When they starter solenoid's go back, they click. Usually you replace the whole starter though and not just the solenoid.
