I just picked up my 2007 525i and turned in my 2005 525i are the differences i have noticed so far. I like the AUX in but will probably remove the chip, the new key and push button start is cool, the leathered on the i-drive control makes i nicer to the touch however no forced feedback but it was there on the 2005 either. The biggest difference is the steering the speed senstive steering is way more pronounced on the 2007 my 2005 felt extremely tight at all speed conditions maybe i will have to bring it back to the dealer for them to take a look at. However when i had a 2006 loaner with the sport package my wife commented that it felt looser. The breaks also feel a little softer in 2007. I also don't believe my 2005 had wheel locks this one does and I didn't pay for them i guess they are standard. Well i have only had the car for 8 Hours so i am a sure I will find more difference over the next couple of days and I will keep you posted.

My old 525I had about 23K on it when I turned it in. Yeah I have been an active view of these forums since 2004 when i decided that I wanted to buy a bmw but never really posted unless i have questions. But i decided since the forums have been so helpful to me that I would start posting some of the information that I have. I am just about to apply for my CCA rebate can't wait to get that back and my old security deposit back.

O MAN I feel way out of date, I have an 04 525 with 122k on it, I don't feel too bad tho because its in excellent shape so you would never know it was an 04 by looking at it alone unless you know what to look for, anyways Ive been wanting to update anything I can on it so if anyone has any ideas on things I could do I wouldn't mind hearing them.

Interesting comparison, OP.

E60's in general are way out of date, lol! Oh well - my e60 with 118K mi still looks good, interior / exterior in good shape, and drives even better :)

Putting in Bimmer-Tec's OEM quality... Upgraded screen, front and rear cameras with HD streaming and a USB port and I am good to go. New BMw's just don't do anything for me
