Hey guys wanted to ask where can i download NCS Expert from (link if possible) and what version is the latest one. I have Windows Vista Operating System on my laptop (would this work).

I just want to play around with the software and get the hang of it at first.

Thanks guys

You need NCS Expert, INPA and EDIBIAS for NCS Expert to work correctly as far as I know.

These are the latest versions:

INPA v5.04
EDIABAS v7.2.0
NCS Expert v3.1.0

However NCS Expert data files for each car/chassis are updated every now and then (files in DATEN folder). Maybe it's important to have the latest if you have 2010-2011 model year or so, or your car software has been upgraded at the dealer.

I'm not running the latest versions but the one I have works on all E60s as far as I know (for basic coding). I'd upload it and post a link but not sure whether it's allowed here.

Vista is more complicated and needs some specific drivers, it's better to run XP 32bit in a VMware virtual machine, like I do.

VMware virtual machine is not needed to run INPA and NCS Expert. VMware is used for GT1/DIS/SSS etc.

You do however need a communication interface before anything will work.

So does it work under Vista? As far as I know it only works under Windows 7 and Windows XP. That's why I was suggesting to use VMware.

Do you guys have a link to buying the interface cable that works with NCS Expert, INPA, and EDIABAS?
