Hi there,

I just got a 2004 530 a few weeks back. It is silver with the sports package 50K. I have had two other BMWs before an 89 735I and a 91 850I. Any way I had a few questions about my car I was hopeing someone could help me with.


1. Reset service warning:
My car is telling me to change the break fluid. I will do it sooner or later I don't think it really needs to be done at 50K (i am sure we could debate this) but I want to reset the warning. Any one know how?

2. Aux input adapter:
I installed the aux input adapter (not the IPod interface) in my car. The radio does not see it. Do I need to do something to get it to work?

3. Bluetooth:
I can't figure out how to pair my iphone to the car or does the 04 not support bluetooth?

4. Oil change indicator:
The car keeps saying that I have 10,000 miles to the next oil change. I have put 2K on the car since I have got it and it still says 10K until the next change. Does any one know what the deal is?

I will answer the questions that I'm more familiar with...

For question 2 you need to take your car to the dealer so they can enable the adapter.

3) it depends on when your car was built do a search on this forum or the bimmerfest forum for more info. My car is a 04 530i and has bluetooth.
