This is the setup in my car. I honestly have not seen another car with this setup but I do remember a member on here trying to have it install as a mod.

How do you like the sports mode/button? Never driven one with it. I'm very curious

I think it's a sin not to have it IMO. The touch of a button and my steering shifters are the best thing next to a nd actrual manual. And there is a DIFFERENCE even when you use the tiptronics with the sport on and off. Which made me question if cars without the button are actrually sport. Yes it may have the sport suspension and seats and all the other good stuff. But idk.

For example. You put the shifter to the left and your in "sport mode". If you use the tiptronics the sport goes away and the "M" (manual) comes up. With the button it's both still there. Kind of like double trouble IMO!

How much extra was this option? Paddle shifts are fun - i've driven a 335i with it but didn't have the sport button if I recall correctly.

It actrually wasn't anything extra! I got my car from a dealer with 25,000 miles on it and it SO HAPPENED. I was there when the person took it back after their lease ended and took it over another e60 I was looking at with no shifters or sport button. I was LUCKY! The person that originally put this car together was def after some speed and to have fun! Now I get to share that joy

Yes - the suspension is noticeably stiffer. Keep in mind that the car may have the OEM run-flats. Switch them for normal tires and some of that harshness will go away.

Are you comparing this to an old FORD???

You may have the telescope (in/out) all the way forward...that will limit the amount of up/down movement of the steering wheel. Try adjusting the telescope of the wheel and see if that helps. The adjustment is the same knob as the tilt.

Yes, I am comparing it to my old ford, but it was built by Saleen and had the Saleen (Racecraft) susppension, which was very nice in the twisties..

Well, I brought the car back with great sadness. Told them to put me in line for an 08 535 with Premium and Sport packages.. I can live without the rest.. The car was awesome and I wish it was within my confort range (as far as price). I just think $38k is a little too high for that car given the miles on it and the packages..

One thing I LOVED were the Xenons. They were not the adaptive type but the difference was HUGE when driving at night compared to my Halogens. I have the HID upgrade sitting in my garage, but if I am contemplating getting rid of the 528i, I don't see the point in putting them in...

Wow, they are giving it to me without lube on the trade in. I paid $32k for my CPO 528i with 24K on the OD not even 5 months ago, and they are offering me $27k for it (with 26K on the OD)...At that rate of depreciation, my 528i won't be worth squat in 2 years! Guess I might not be stepping up to a 535 like I hoped...If I could only reach my foot around and actually kick myself I would.. should've bought that white 535 when I had the chance...IDIOT
