I just jot my first Bimmer.
I must admit that I have been getting up early and going to the garage and staring at her.
Is that wrong?
What about radar detectors?
What should I do?

Joseph,

Its ok to stare! Just don't go any further - it may be against the law

Congratulations!
I'm still stuck staring at my catalog for hours since my car is still on order....
(not even in production yet....? :'( )

I know once I get it I'll be doing the same though?
so carry on!

Enjoy!

Woohoo!!!!
I just checked and my vehicle status has changed to "Scheduled for Production"
I guess that means that they'll be working on building my car any minute now right?

Yep. No more changes, the car will be built in the next couple of days.

Well, I'm pretty happy with the configuration that I picked out and it's a lease anyway so I'll see what I like and what I don't like (although I'll probably love everything)... and then I'll see if I feel like I miss not having a couple of features that I didn't take....
The biggest question in my mind was the SMG that I opted for (never drove it but I originally intended to go with the manual trans), but as the days go by I feel confident that I chose the best transmission; especially when I read all the posts regarding it in this forum!

i have had 7 Bm's and still stare at this one like it's my first one .. and still seem to find stranger angles to look at that i never saw before...

i have done 32k miles since may 2004 when i picked mine up of which i guess 3000 were totally pointless "i know i'll go the long way home" miles.. i also learned, thanks to a cr4p Jaguar, :'( , not to stray to non Bm cars or my own use..
so once they have you hooked your in deep !

Enjoy your ride !

atleast 2,000 of my 10,000 are pointless "I know I'll go the long way home" or "I'm going for drive" miles.

I think that says a lot about the car.
