1st 2nd 3rd and 4th gear top speed

My Ride: 550
in my 530i i can reach roughly 30 mph in 1st im really not sure
but in 2nd 58-60 mpg
and in 3rd 94-96 mph
i was just wondering if the gearing for the V8s is different than the I6s or just because of the extra power less time is needed to reach the topspeeds of each gear..what im trying to say is do the V8s have higher top speeds in the gears?

My Ride: 2005 545iA
I have 545iA and the gearing is:
1. 4,17
2. 2,34
3. 1,52
4. 1,14
5. 0,87
6. 0,69
Differential 3.38
Speeds should be around (when to change, depending what tire setup i have):
1. 55-60kmh
2. 100-110kmh
3. 155-160kmh
4. 200-210kmh
5. 250kmh+ (i still have a limiter, so no difference there, what matters is that the 6th is not used when accelerating:-) )

On my previous car I had 20% all round and said to myself no way next time I'm going as dark as 20% on the rear window. So when I got this car tinted I went for 35% rear, 20% sides.

wow very nice tints your 35s are like my 5% lol...with this new law in illinois if you have 35% all around youre allowed to get 35s in the front as well but if you have any lower youre only allowed to get 50% in the front...even with the 50% i think i will be satisified
