Though I don?t think the roads in HK can in any way be compared to the frost damaged roads in northern Sweden.

titanium
Think again, I think aside from huge potholes roads condition couldn't be rated as good in HK in most area as there are loads of construction and if the road is too busy they will not be repaved often.

Hi !

Is there any difference between runflats and non runflats regarding comfort and ride ?

I really would love 19" wheels but I?m afraid that the ride will be to harsh compared to 18".
What are your thoughts regarding comfort ?

Were I live the roads have poor quality. Lots of potholes, cavities and cracks.
So the rational thing to do is to go for 18". But who wants to be rational

titanium
Then get 18" NO run-flat !

So the conclusion is that the stock 18" RF:s aren?t as good as can be expected.
Strange, concidering BMW has choosen them for all their vehicles.

You have almost got me convinced buying 19"

titanium
We did a back to back comparison of ride in two 530d's. Mine with RFT 17 inchers and a colleague's with 19 inch non runflats. Ride was practically identical swaying in favour of the 19 inchers!!! Trust me - we have crappier roads than you guys.

So in my opinion - go for the 19 inchers and enjoy an improvement in ride comfort .
