15 mm spacers or not?
#1
Hi,
wondering if anyone can help. Ive just bought a 525d m spoert e60. Ive been offered some 19" wheels but the offset for the front is 35et. Ive been told that a set of 15mm spacers on the front two wheels only should be ok.
The question im asking is that if i install these spacers does it affect the quality of the drive (wheel vibration etc)?
All help is appreciated

15 mm spacers arent going to affect your ride quality. Im just curious as to why you were recommended only having them on the front. Typically theyll only put them on the rear like i have.

Spacers will not affect ride or anything. Just make sure you clean the hub so the spacer sits perfectly flush and won't vibrate. +35 is a really high offset, personally I would go with a 20mm spacer to make it more flush (that is if the wheel is 8.5" wide).

Hi,
The wheels which i am hoping to get come in the following sizes
front wheels are 8.5 x 19 et35
rear wheels are 9.5 x 19 et35
I looked on the following webiste and they advised that the rear off set on the rear should be around 35.
Do you guy recommend that i get a 20mm spacer for the front instead??
Thanks

Do you recall the change when you put them on? Did you have a better feel for the road, maneuvering and or cornering? i was thinking about it for my car but wasn't really convinced I needed it. what do you think...?

As far as my spacers and the ride quality nothing changed. Maybe it even got better cause the rear got a tiny bit wider and more aggressive.. but it just looks better
