Is $14,000 worth it for a 550i over a 530i?

Kumusta? I see you live in Philippines. I think 530i is more than enough to drive around there, especially how bad traffic and how small roads are. Unless you really want the 550i then go for it.

IMO I think you should go for the 550. If I were to add up all the money I spent on my 545, I think im just a couple grand short of getting a used M5. Wish I would have just bought an M5.
But money is the issue you are speaking of. If you got it spend it homie....![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)

My sister gave me her BMW dealer(that dealer handled here current 335i coupe, current X6, previous X5, previous Z4) and that dealer said they could order me a 550i but i have to give a PhP500,000(about $10,000) down payment. That down payment is fine for me but I am not sure about the price difference between a fully loaded 530i and a fully loaded 550i. The price difference is about $14,000 between those 2 fully loaded BMWs. Is that worth paying for? ![Wassat](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/wassat.gif)

Hi I just bought a 2009 535xi price came up to $81,000 Canadian dollar with M Package, at that price I wanted to pick up the 550 because that came with the M package and 60 more HP. But there was only one and the color was aweful and they loaded it with packages I don't even want. The 550 in Canada in 80,000 and the 535XI is 70,000 so its better to get the 550 if you want the M package and 60HP .

plus with all that 550i power, i doubt you could max it out in Manila. for the sound of $14,000.. save your money. with the 530i, should be plenty enough already. i know you said you want to leave it stock but for aesthetic purposes, throw in M-tech kit, change rims if you want then your all set.
but then again, if you want power. then 550i is 550i. what is the diff b/n 550i and M5 there? consider options included, car color, mileage and history when your deciding b/n the 550i and 530i.

Save your money and just go with the 530I. You don't need all that power in Manila. Just deck out your 530I with all the options offered. Just my 2 cents. GL

Thanks so much for replying guys!. I guess I should just get a 530i. Since a 530d will do 250kph, there is no doubt in my mind that a 530i will also do 250kph. I don't think I can even do 250 here in Manila
. Since I saw these videos and reading all your replies, it made want a 530i more:
