I have always been able to program both buttons since I've had the car.This is a replacement car for my first one,had this since 9th June not sure what version its running ?

Now if someone can tell me how to reduce the volume of the memo chime, I'll be happy. (Yes, I tried turning down the volume knob as it was chiming -- it didn't work.)

I tried it too and asked my dealer.
It's not even on the key memory. So if two drivers have keys and the one wants the chime he has to enter the idrive menu.

I had the hourly chime in my car from the factory so I doubt it is a version 12 thing. If it is, then it does not pay mp3's as I tried it when I first got it.

I got my car May 25th and it has the memo function allready. I don't think that software version 12 was allready out at this time...

Its not a matter of hour chime guys. But for sure, ver 12 is out and installed on my car without my permission (it happened when i fixed my restrain fault error). The dealer showed me the printout that show v12.
