I wouldnt blast it open to red line just like that either... you should have slowly creped the RPMS up over 500 mile intervals... start using the 5000 rev band range then the 6000 THEN red line... not keep the car under 4300rpm for the past 1200 miles and then at 1201 WHAM BAM here comes redline...

Thats being conservative... do i follow that rule? No. hahaha I opened it up when i had 800 miles but once in a while when the car is fully warmed up it'll be fine.... its not a brittle piece of paper...

HIM?? My car is a HER and here's why.....Driving it as hard as I do sometimes, if it were a HIM, it would make me feel like a "Slavedriver" whereas prodding HER along to go faster etc. seems more appropriate somehow! And yes I AM married so I might have a slight agenda here too!
