Hi guys, I have a 04 545i with logic 7. the front driver side speaker cuts in and out. If its out all I have to do is turn up the volume till it kicks in then lower it. Is this a bad connection going into the amp or something? Thoughts or attempted fixes? Thanks

Just check your wiring. has any work been done involving taking the door off? If not what about the M-ASK or CCC itself? Taken out? Check amp in the rear boot and make sure all the plugs are seated properly. Trace out the issue. If it only cuts out at low volumes and when you increase the volume it corrects itself, I think its at the head unit and is a line signal issue.

Hello,
did you ever find the problem for this speaker? Mine in the passenger door does exactly the same. So in case the volume in scranked up it works again. In my case that door was taken out a couple of years ago. What should I do. Try to remove the mid-range door speaker and see if all connections are ok or is it likely a bigger problem for which I would have to go to the garage? Thanks for any help |
Just take the panel off and test the stereo see if anything is loose there.

My subwoofer or bass randomly cuts out when listening to music loudly, dunno what the issue is with mine either. :bash:

Then you have the opposite issue of the OP. Well do you have an aftermarket amp? if so how are you tied in? Usually, it's because you're drawing too much and your current setup can't handle it. That is only if you have aftermarket stuff. But if not then I would think it's your audio unit circuitry. |
