Say I allocate $1,000 to make my new 545i nicer. What would be the first things you would do and keep it it under a grand?

You mean in the form of an OEM option or after-market thoughts? I'd get the OEM spoiler. It looks way better than any of the after-market spoilers, IMO. It's subtle and looks great on a 545.

I did the following to my MY04 545i. I assume you meant post delivery stuff.

1) Red Euro reflectors
2) Rear Wood Trim
3) Front dash Wood trim below DVD
4) Wood 6spd Shifter
5) Painted Brake Calipers RED
5) Replaced CDV

I wouldn't do anything else. The car is HOT in stock trim. Look at My Ride below.

The closest thing to a $1000 is active steering at $1250. If that is over your budget, I would add split rear seats. Satellite radio is another option that would make it nice within that range, but the monthly subscription price needs to be considered also.

For me, it would be the active steering.

OT -- CDV Question

Hello,

I am also from LA, waiting for my 545 6 speed. Car is not here but I already have the Zeckhausen Racing modified valve.

Would you please let me know which shop did the valve change for you, and if possible, the name of the technician who did the work? Labor cost?

What is your impression pre and post valve change please?

Thanks and regards,
Can
