When I approach the car and unlock remotely or open an already unlocked door there is a buzzing sound that seems to be coming from under the hood. It seem like it’s coming from under the valve cover, not very scientific just seems that way. It’s getting louder too. It also remains on after shut down. Sometimes for a few seconds and sometimes for a while. A few days aho I got a battery warning for an unknown draw, or something like that. Any thoughts?

Are you talking about the buzzing that every BMW makes when unlocking or opening the doors?

Was there a battery replaced that was not coded and/or programmed? Could be your message issue.

The noise is coming maybe from the water pump area? It’s louder then it used to be. To the point where my wife noticed it. I’ve now had two notices of high draw on the battery. Some times I just walk away from the car when the noise is happening because it goes on so long.

Find what's making the noise and you'll find the fix to both your problems. I have heard of a bad electric pump draining the battery

I would suggest to first check for a parasitic draw.
