This morning I was driving on the freeway in light traffic when I noticed a stunning white Porsche with red-orange rims in my rear view mirror. I knew it wasn?t a Boxster perhaps a Cayman, I thought. I wasn?t sure which model Porsche it was until he pulled along side me. Behold, below the large wing was the moniker GT3!
I could hear the melodic tune of his engine rise as he downshifted. I of course was in quick pursuit. He got a jump on me, about 2 car lengths when I changed into his lane. I quickly caught up as he approached some cars. The beast weaved in and out between a few cars and I was right behind him, still about 2 car lengths back. We continued the cat and mouse chase when he picked the wrong lane and I saw my chance to pass. But once he realized he was about to happen, he changed into my lane slaughtering any chances of glory.
We approached the interchange and just as quickly as it started it was all over. He went his way and I went mine. As we parted ways, I briefly turned ont he hazards as if to say, "Good run." I must say even though I didn?t have a chance of beating the monstrous GT3, I was curious how the N54 engine would faire. To my surprise the E60 did not disappoint, the twin turbo kept up reasonably well.
