Several times I have returned to my car and the trunk is open. Seems like I must have accidently grazed against the trunk button on the remote, but hardly enough to activate it intentionally. Funny thing is, sometimes is takes a very deliberate pressing of the trunk release button on the remote to open it when I do want it to open. Is there a sensitivity adjustment on the remote or the receiver that triggers it to open?

Not a sensitivity adjustment, but your dealer can disable the open-trunk-by-remote feature. It's a dealer programmable option that cannot be found in idrive.

It happened to me a couple of times too. There are some other posts about it, search and you will find.

I'd take it to the dealer and see if they can replicate it. Or you could try super glue or bungee cords, I guess. :D

Welding a 200 kilo weight on the trunk also does the trick.

I had the same issue. I decided to lock it with the key whenever I really don't want to find the trunk open.

Doesnt the remote work even if the trunk is locked?
