Hi all,

As many of you may know from my earlier posting, I have ordered my '08 535xi (mmm.... twin turbo goodness!). I've been faithfully checking every day at the BMW Owners Circle website but it hasn't started production. Any rough ideas as to how long it is before it moves to that next step?

Thanks in advance!

OC wasn't very up to date for my last 3 cars. Their 800 number was much better.

It took my car about 3-4 weeks to begin production from when I was assigned a production number--BUT I ordered mine well before the cars were even being built (they hadn't even announced the prices when I ordered). I think I had the first or second week build date. From order to delivery, for me, with EPA issues, etc., was just over 10 weeks. As above poster said, the 800 # is SO much more reliable--800.831.1117. You will need your production number. Best of luck!

When I ordered mine from the dealer (4/11/2007), it took about 8 days for it to go into production--I'm scheduled to be completed with production this Wednesday (4/25/2007)... I understand about the waiting!

Just a note on mine though, when I ordered my car, the dealer already had a slot for a 2008 528xi, so I left the dealer with a production number that day (4/11).

I took everyone's advice and called the 800 number. Much more information available than on the website.

Turns out that my production week is week 19 which means (they think) I'll have the vehicle in hand somewhere near the end of June. I hope they don't slip that because I'm out a week for vacation the first week of July and it would kill me to miss the delivery!

The rep on the phone said that with my sport package I was getting style 124 18" rims with sport/performance tires. Do you know if this is the same Dunlop runflat tire I have on my '06 530i Sport? I'm not a big fan...

It's the luck of the draw.

I have Bridgestone RFT's on my E61. My E60 had Goodyear RFT's. Both cars with 18" wheels and sport package.

Here's hoping that I draw a good set!
