08 535i New Turbos and still getting 30FF
Greetings
I recently got my turbos replaced in my 2008 535i under the BMW sib and I have still gotten the 30FF "Engine Malfunction, Reduced Power!" Code a few times. Got new turbos at 82k and I am now at 88k. The whole reason why I got new turbos was because of the 30FF Code... Why am I getting the code on brand new turbos?? Can someone help me out here?
Thanks

check vacuum system. If you are not getting full vacuum to the wastegates you will get the 30FF codes. They get very loose over time. I would go over all the rubber lines.

It could also be the camshaft vanos solenoids. They are cheap about 120 a piece and there is 2 of them. It is an easy DIY. Alternatively you can try cleaning them. Google to find the DIY.

Check the lines. I had my turbos and cats replaced under warranty. Vac lines were the last thing replaced to drop the code.

Likely a boost leak since you have new turbos. After checking all the vacuum lines, tanks, and solenoids, move onto the turbo-ic charge pipe, intercooler, up-pipe, charge pipe, and charge pipe-throttle body connections.
Maybe have a friend stick their head in the engine bay while you rev it and see if they hear any unusual sounds (squeels, wooshes, etc.)
If you are mechanically inclined, pressure test the system.
