550iwa

i have a 07 550i and i recently(last week )had it towed to my indy due to drastic loss of coolant and heavy heat/ smoke when driving for like 5min. Indy found a crack in the expansion tank so I had them replace it. Thursday, May 28 driving normally, suddenly car smokes heavy while i'm out for lunch, quickly pulled over to empty parking lot (heavy smoke exiting hood) and loud boom/blow, and i can see coolant all over and under the car so i had it towed to the indy again to find out that my radiator and thermostat needs to be replaced(currently in the shop, parts come monday, so i'll probably get the car mid next week). total cost is $1600. Hope she returns running like new.

I habe a 07 550i and I had the same thing happen to me 8 months ago. Coolant tank got changed and I drove for about a week and boom over heating and i kep putting more fluid in. I found out it was a hose from the radiator was cracked and broke off at the clamp it was well hidden and my fan stopped working because of that. So I got a new fan and hose.

Hey is your 550i the sport model? Mine isn't. How did you get the sport mode mod. And what kind of quad setup do you have? I'm planning on getting the Koni fsd struts and eibach pro kit for my suspension and I'm pondering about the quad setup bc I don't want it loud. And I'm going with a 550i m sport rear with a m5 diffuser that I found. I already have the mtech front bumper. Do you have pics..
