Default 07 550 wheel bearing question

is it common to have rear wheel bearings Issues with these cars with only
98k miles. If so how hard is it to do?

I thought it was the new tires i out on (Michelin Pilot sport a/s 3) But after like 2k they so noisy...hard to believe they would be so i was wondering if it could be bearings. Sounds like tire howl but fronts don't do it just weird. My pilot sport plus's were not noisy but these are...alot a loss

I'm having the same issue I think. My noise comes from the right rear tire sort of like a cinder block being dragged along concrete if that makes any sense but not as deep a little higher pitched when driving. I thought maybe it was my brakes being low or something caught between the backing plate. I've been told it may be the wheel bearing and got an estimated $600 quote on it. I've just parked it for now until I can get it repaired if need be.

Here is a DIY on replacing it. E60/E61/E39 Rear wheel bearing replacement (lots of pictures)

Hope it helps!

for shits and giggles, check to see if the tires were put on the right way. i believe those are directional tires.

It is funny you say this because I have been thinking the same thing. I have Michelin A/S 3 tires too and my front right makes this noise that kinda sounds like a bad bearing. Theres no way though after 50k miles that its bad though..
