OK. Bought this 2 weeks ago. I tried the launch control and the car just barely bogs and then goes, no tire spin, nothing. Did it exactly according to the Youtube video I saw. Anyway, P0402 Increased emissions. Any idea if this is def a catalytic issue or can it be something else. The code comes up as catalytic efficiency.

P0402 or P0420 ? P0402 is an EGR code while P0420 is a cat code.

Is the car new? If its under 1200 miles you need to have the dealer do the 1200 mile service and they will activate LC.

At least thats my understanding for US spec cars...

This is another prime example of adding your car info in your signature and location under your avatar.

If you are doing an OBDII scan, OBDII code P4020 is an EGR code. Do an internet search. Code P0420 is a cat code, I know because I have it and my car has been at the dealership for 2 weeks. Since the cat is still in warranty by 4K miles, BMWNA is trying hard to prove that it is not a bad Cat.
