05' 545i water pump life expectancy?

Mine made it to 125k before I took care of most of the know v8 issues except valve stems. I started to have to top off once a week a few weeks before hand.

My 2006 530 has 176K and the original water pump. *knocks on wood*

I'm curious about the correlation between "red line runs", and rotating component lifetimes. I'll bet that those who drive their vehicles harder (higher revs) see a lower water pump lifetime. Any thoughts on this? If you're going to indicate mileage, also describe your driving habits.

2006 with 176K -- I'd just replace it now. My two BMW with electric have gone out long before that milage.
