Thumbs up

Hello,

I work in a Vocational/Technical school. I had my car aligned there. I would also think that this question would apply to anyone who has had their car aligned by any non BMW source.

My Question: I have an '04 545i with active steering and the sport package, I told the shop that I had an e60 with the factory sport package. All went well the car rides and steers great. When I looked at the alignment machine printout, on the top it was stated that it was a e60 with low ride sports suspension. Was the machine set correctly? Or should I have them do another check without the sports package checked. I do have the factory size tires and oem style 124 rims but I do not know if the suspension is any different. Please Advise.

The print out for my 535i with the sport package says the same thing.

I agree with ^^^, the older cars the sport suspension was referred to by the factory as the "low slung sport suspension" or some such. Almost assuredly the same thing here.

dont worry you had the machine set correctly...with the sports suspension and sport package that is the correct setting..the e60's with the m5 suspension...it is called the low ride sports...not to worry that is the correct option.

Thank you everyone for the info. So far these forums have help me get a free software upgrade, a corrected bluetooth module, changed my own oil, I ordered my RPI scoop with BMC filter and I am now pondering the RPI exhaust. I started years ago with an auction '97 540i 6 and will now always own a BMW because of public supported forums like this.
