Smile 04 530I intermittent audio loss, HiFi radio works when it wants to

I'll get to my audio loss question but first...Hello a first post for me a NY'er retired to Florida 10 years now, I stumbled across a low mile 04 530i last year that I couldn't pass up , It's got 61k original, a Florida car since new, never hit, clean title ceramic coated Alpine White paint, garaged always & it shows, looks new this thing . It had an oil leak the guy disclosed which I fixed by running Rotella 15w/40 semi synthetic & this 20 year old car loves it , I run Citgo 90 octane ethanol free fuel exclusively & Tecron every other tankful. I'll post some pictures if I can.
The only issue it started to have is the audio cut out one day the radio tuner itself. seem to be fine just no sound, checked the fuses, grounds that I know of, replaced the amp with one I found on EBay for 20 bucks ! Then it came back a few days ago wow sound again but that was short lived se's dead again. & no it's not muted & the interior chimes & bongs all work when I put the key in. I'm presently using a bluetooth speaker & iPhone for tunes which is ok but I miss the stereo..I thought it had great sound although many critiqued this HiFi option as being slightly subpar..
Anyways any tips on where to go from here ? Maybe I should just go to a car stereo shop , or a few taps with a hammer ? 😊😊

Did you check for BMW specific DTC codes yet?

Purchase any BMW specific code reader, they don't cost much at all (low as $45).

Are you getting any messages popping up on the dash/video screen when the tuner goes out?
Do you have other audio capabilities at that time such as CD or AUX?

Hi, no other messages, the CD seems to work the timer thing ticks away like it's playing just no audio. I bought a Konnwei KW808 scanner it showed no issues, I did have a trans. fault I was able to clear couple months ago I was late for a doctors appointment & I gunned it a little to make a light when the car wasn't fully warmed up it shifted funny I felt it & threw the fault, this was couple months ago & the car shifts perfect now I did a tranny reset then I was able to clear that with the scan tool so I' glad I bought it. I'm using my iPhone with a bluetooth speaker for tunes better then nothing for now..
There's a independent shop near me that works on BMW's I'm going to bring it to him for an oil change & have him look at the radio issue, also my windshield washer pump is shot I think, those are the only 2 issues I have everything else works..20 year old car not bad I figure, I'm enjoying this car so smooth runs like new scan tool showed all OK .
thanks for the reply

You need a BMW specific code reader. The one you bought doesn't show modules.
