Are “custom” alignments a thing?

Hi.
so I know BMW has alignment specs for the E60. But…
mine is lowered (camber affected, right?)
i drive alone 99% of the time (don’t want sand bags used to rep other passengers)
i prefer the setup to favor high speed stability vs cornering “on rails” (for where I drive most of the time)
my Indy alignment guys says, “bring me what you want and I’ll do it”.
but what do I bring him?? Is there a place to find these numbers, because I haven’t found it yet.
any help is appreciated.
thank you

just find a performance alignment shop in your area and they should be able to ask how you want your car aligned and get it right. if you were in south florida I could recommend an amazing shop that everybody goes to from crazy camber cars to high horsepower exotics.
nobody can really recommend what will work for you because there are too many variables from suspension components to tires to corner weight.

imalso didn’t realize the alignment people knew how to “tune it in”… I thought they just went by whatever numbers were in their reference material.
again, thanks.

I have a co-worker who used to have an old Integra and in his words, "After lowering it I went to the shop for an alignment and I told the guy I wanted it to handle like it's on rails, and he took it from there and said I'd be happy". In the case of a suspension modification the factory specs probably do not apply so you can do what you want. I personally have no idea what you'd want but if you found someone who could tell you what differences you'd notice if the camber was modified a bit, or tow, etc. then that could perhaps be useful for you to come up with something you'd like.

ok, thanks. I thought maybe others had possibly had similar requests and knew what to give them, specs wise.

well GOOD alignment shops know. which is why I mentioned to look for a performance alignment shop vs your local firestone/pepboys and such.
