I was crazy about the car. But I really like the more trouble free ownership experience of a brand new car and didn't have the time or interest in dealing with the increasing problems that come as a car ages.

If the E39 had still been around in 06, I would have gotten another one. But at that point, the E60 550 was too expensive for my budget. So I got an Infiniti M45 Sport back then. When that lease was up, the 550 was within my budget and it was a happy happy day to return to the magic of a BMW V8.
