Mods and upgrades
Hey guys, I have a 2003 bmw 525i. I'd like to do a few upgrades and mods to it. I've done some research and can't decide what exactly I'd like to do. I was wondering if you guys had some suggestions for this. I'm open to any suggestions really. I'd like to do both performance mods and exterior, appearance modifications.
I've considered getting a cold air intake, buying a performance chip, changing the exhaust, and really clean on the inside. Just do some maintenance. I'm really just looking for suggestions for brands and types of upgrades, I'm open to anything.
I'd also like to make it look "mean" on the exterior. I'm not sure what body kits, spoilers, and different front bumpers I'd like the most. I just want to see what others have done and what others like.
Thanks!

Can't go wrong with a Cold Air Intake, Angel Eyes, maybe a rear lip spoiler + a full sound upgrade. Fix the interior and you are rocking. No real need for the exhaust IMHO.
Enjoy the transformation.

for an intake setup, do not go with any open cone filter though. its either the heat shields are not present or are not efficient, and the intake sucks up the hot air from the engine and causes a loss in power. for reference there are numerous threads on the subject as well. the intake setup that we recommend and does produce a gain in power has been the RPI ram air scoop that utilizes the stock airbox and replacing the stock air filter.
