Hi guys/gals. I have been quite busy these days. One update is the 528i has bit the dust and must now be sent on to BMW heaven. Loving the e39 as I do, I wanted to get a 540i and have been shopping around and even bought one a week ago but on the drive home the car stalled and would not start again. Well fortunately the seller came and picked me up and gave me my money back. Whew what a close call. Well after that I decided to search and buy only via the forum and from enthusiast. Well I am hoping to pull the trigger this week on a beautiful Avus Blue 2000 M5. I am still keeping my e60 (for now).

I was wondering what happened with your E39 situation... are you sold on this 2000 model?
If you can find a 2001+ you'll at least get the angel eyes headlights and updated tail lights,
unless the lights on this car has been updated by the previous owner.

Got any pics? Would this be the one?

+1 on getting a 2001 plus - you want those angel eyes. E39 M5 is a great car (my friend has one so I have had some seat time). Very few problems with them just take your time to find a one owner, low mileage one with a service history and you will be fine.

enjoy!
