I have been watching videos on youtube and for some reason am thinking about selling my e60 and trying to find a 02-03 e39 m5....man those things are sweet.....from what I have gathered though, is that you better find the right one bc there are some out there with a lot of problems and they are pretty expensive to fix.
This was pretty sweet

If you are really interested in one, send me a PM. My roommate has an 01 with only about 40k on it, been babied in the garage for the past year he has owned it. Minimal mods and lots of scheduled/preventative maintainence.

You can't go wrong with a E39 M5
Here's a good video to make you want to get one that much more =p

I love the E39 M5 as well. Timeless design. There's one parked on the street near my house outside of an apartment complex and I always admire it. Just feel bad for the poor thing for not being sheltered in a covered garage.
I love all M5s actually. Wouldn't it be sweet to have the full line up from the first M5 to the most recent in your garage? Like the 5 series generation picture for this forum. haha

Excellent choice for sure!!! Shameless plug for a great place (no affiliation): A good source for E39 M5's is Enthusiast Auto in Cincinnati Ohio. They seek out the cleanest BMW's (not just E39 M5's...) and make them even better. You won't be disappointed.
