Hi Guys;

Just finished my first e39 wrapping project. Save you the in process pictures. My buddy is picking them up tonight.

Here are the pictures. First is his stock set (woodgrain) and the reaminder are the finished pictures. I'll post installed pictures once we get it installed in his car....

Looks amazing. How did you get them to look glossy? What material did you use? All the carbon fiber wraps I've seen are a matte finish look.

Thanks! The glossy finish is from the clear coat. I can finish the parts matte or glossy. Most people want the parts with the glossy finish, but it\s easy to get a matte finish; you are physically sanding away somoe of the gloss to get matte.... Something like this... This is the same Honda CBR600 with the parts matte and then glossy:

So you wrapped it DiNoc. Then sprayed clear over it?

Looks great man, I also have Carbon Fiber trim in my 03 540i M-sport. Mine is actually authentic carbon fiber, in which it came with the car when I purchased it and looks great.

how much to do my trim in glossy? e60 m5 model. Don't live far from you.

Oh WOW. My same reaction is same as DK, I didn't think to clear coat the Di-Noc wrap. That looks AMAZING actually, I was wondering if there was a typo when I first saw "wrap" in the post.

I tried to originally clear vinyl wrap but I either did it way wrong or used the wrong stuff. This looks awesome!!

I was going to try clear coat on a test piece. But read somewhere that it didn't work out that well. Now I gotta do this. I like the glossy carbon fiber better than the matte finish.

Yeah, I remember seeing another member said they tested clear coating but it didn't turn out well too. Maybe the OP can shed light on which kind of clear was used. This looks pretty factory actually.
