Hello,
I am interested in a 2000 528i TiAG with 106kmi. It is a beauty and is in very good condition. I am considering the possibilty to commute to DC a few times per week and wanted to know if this would be a good car to do so. It gets 23MPG so that seems pretty good for a comfortable commuter car with the possibility to even take a customer to lunch or dinner.
The other possibility is to find a new vehicle with 0% APR such as a VW jetta maybe tdi.
Please let me know if you can give me some feedback for you E39 owners. I really appreciate it.
Also, please let me know what you think is a fair market value for the vehicle is.
Regards,
Loay

I owned my 528i for almost 5 yrs... had few problems with coolant.. but it's a all solid car... I still enjoy driving it more then my e60... but 2009-10 will alway be a lot more reliable

The E39 528 is a great car, in both looks and reliability. Since you posted this on a 5 series forum then it seems to me your mind is already made up anyway. Besides, do you really want to take clients to dinner/lunch in a VW?
