Doing a little project, just wanted to see if anyone's had any experience with the window control panels on the pre-LCI cars. I need to remove and re-install them the easiest possible way. I've done some searching but came up dry. Are they held down with clips and I can just "pop" them, or is it more complicated and I need to remove the door trim?

Thanks guys!

No easy way unfortunately.

The door panel has to come off (10 minutes) then the switch panel is screwed under the door trim.

Do a search for trim removal - I've done a write-up for the trim, including the door panels.
BMW TIS calls for a special tool, but a screwdriver and a Torx driver does the job.
