Dear all,
530i,year 2004,milage 130,000Km.yesterday i have noticed white smoke comming out of the exhaust.I parked the car and checked the oil level,it was below the maximum, and i think it needed about 1.5 liters of oil.
Is the low oil level causes the white smoke to go out from exhaust? Is there any engine damage occured?
Please advise what to check and what to do in order to overcome this scary problem.could it be a beginning of engine failue?
thanks

White smoke is coolant.
Bluiesh smoke is oil.
Black smoke is excess fuel.

Have an indy mechanic check out the coolant system. Hope everything works out.
