Sup guys!
I was wondering if anyone knows what the fuse number is for the cigarette lighter socket. I understand the fuse is located in the glove box and there is diagram in the tool box in the trunk. However, it's just a bunch of pictures and there isn't one that looks like a cigarette lighter. I was wondering if anyone knows where it is excactly? Has the fuse blown on anyone else's e60? I don't want to take to the dealer for something small. Thanks for all the help!

Everyone has this issue, it turns out BMW didn't place a fuse with enough amperage to charge things like cell phones and iPods, etc. It was suggested to me to switch to a 30A fuse and I ahve had no problems since. The electrical system can handle it, but the puny 10A can't.

if a coin or something falls in the cigarette lighter, i bet the wiring would heat up and maybe melt stuff.
i'd go with a 15a, or 20 max.
