Any update on this? the front and center console trims were easy to remove and wrap. I just need to tackle the doors. I know for the front doors the battery needs to be disconnected for my pre-LCI in order to remove the front side airbag, but is the process the same for the rear doors too?

Yes, the process is similar for both front and rear doors.

Have a look at https://5series.net/forums/topic/356...ard-door-trims - this should give you a heads-up on how to do it.

I did removed my interior trim myself in my car.. check out the results in my threads.. i should of made a DIY but i forgot to take pics.. if you need help let me know! just send a pm and i can tell you what i know.

You don't need to disconnect the battery, even if you have airbags, if you're careful enough removing the door trim, disconnect window control wires and door handle cables. Then get a friend to hold the door panel at max distance from the door, while you change the trim. This saves on alot of messing around in regards to disconnecting the battery

My window switch panels are scratched. Do I have to remove the door panel to replace?

Ufans,

Yes, unfortunately, you have to remove the door panel to get at the switches/panel
