Hello, just looking for some thoughts on posting a thread/DIY.

Just replaced my trim and shift knob this weekend and took a bunch of pics, because i know it was hard to find descriptions/how to's for removing trim etc other than the "manual" pics (which saved my life, sorry can't remember who posted those, Anzafin maybe?)

Thought I would post pics, but was wondering if it would be better to do mini ones for separate components or a picture heavy single one?

Any thoughts/preferences?

 

I would say go ahead and creat a DIY....the more of these we can have on the forum, the better.

Yeah, I'd love to see a DIY. I've been contemplating replacing my chrome trim with shadowline or even trying to find gloss black.

I took off the front trim, where the hazard light is located. It was pretty easy. How do I actually separate the wood trim from the entire piece?

 

What do you mean by separate the wood trim from entire piece? Which parts are you wanting to remove? I've just changed all the silver interior trim in my e60 for Madeira Walnut trim.

The dash and centre console changes are pretty straight forward, its the door trims that are time consuming, especially if you have airbags in all doors and blinds built into back doors, as these have to be removed to gain access to the handle's fixing nuts.

I've taken some good picks of changing the dash and centre console parts, i'll post them when i get them off my cam. Couldn't take any good pics of the door panels, as i didn't have a spare hand.

Anyone need any guidance, just ask...
