Hey guys,
i just flushed out my coolant and refilled with the new.

anyways, i was trying to let the air escape after leaving my car on idle for over 10 minutes with the expansion tank cap off. I didn't notice any burping or bubbling. is that normal?

i thought there was a bleeder screw on our cars but couldn't find one for the life of me. i just wanna make sure i got rid of the excess air and don't overheat the engine...

I found on my E39 and now my E61 the best way to bleed it is to go for a short drive then let the engine cool - then top up.

Only driving seems to shift all the air. I tend to carry the coolant in the car incase a "Coolant Low" message pops up - but it generally doesn't.

That diy is what i did. i just didn't see anything about a bleed screw. i followed the procedure to leave the expansion cap off but didn't see any bubbling. just wanted to make sure there wasn't a step i missed to ensure all air has gone through that's all.
