Suspension Arm Bolt replacement - please help
#1
I want to change the springs on my E60 but have suffered a set back when trying to remove the large 21mm nylock nut that holds the main front suspension arm to the strut assembly. As you'll probably know, the thread that the nut is on turns with the nut so needs to be held by a torx socket in the top, annoyingly the nut was fairly seized on and the force managed to round off the torx fitting on the top. Obviously this means that retightening or removing said 21mm nut is going to be near impossible now (any suggestions for this would be welcome), but the main question is - what do I need to replace to have a new thread in the suspension arm - please don't tell me its a whole new arm (knowing BMW I wouldn't be surprised).
Here is the nut and thread in question:
A BMW part number would be really handy - and any tips on replacing this thread/bolt better still. Thanks.

Yeap Air impact wrench has so much torque to open that bolt even you have a rounded off middle thread head.
You can actually re tighten the nut w/ impact wrench and it will be tight again unless you feel that you need to change the rounded off head. It's just you will probably over torque the nut more than the specification (which will give a hard time to whoever will work on your suspension again in the future)
