I have the same wheels for my 550i, but I have them fitted with my winter tires. This has been the fifth winter that they've gone through and are starting to look pretty bad. There are rust bubbles as well as paint pealing off.
Can I use the same grad sand paper to remove the rust and continue from there to repaint them?

300 grit. primer then paint
Thanks for the help, I just wanted to mention again how bad the wheels are rusted and that where the paint is pealing off really bad rust. Should I still continue as mentioned?
And where do you get those covers to keep the paint, I can't believe it is just some garbage bags, because they fit so well.
