Hi Sparky

I can give you only pictures of these pins, if you want, because I cut them from used wires of 5 series E39.

Thanks Hermman. I have found some contacts from some old cables which I had and plugged them just fine into the x11011 socket. No need to take pictures from them.

Hello there,

I will answer on behalf of my good friend Alex (Hermann) who helped me finish the soft close project You don't need to change your key, you have to replace only the four inner door locks with their adapters. In general, as Hermann mentioned you will also need to make the wirings (only 2 lines from the rear trunk where the fuses are to get the power (+). Also some pins for each door socket and 4 connectors, one for each door will also needed. Basically each door lock is powered form 2 cables (+) power and (-) ground. No modules, no coding no nothing. Just be careful from which two points you will take power (from the fuse box) so it doesn't interfere with the car's "sleeping mode". I am attaching a pic below for the door lock mechanisms to get an idea of what major parts needed. It is hard and rare to find them, but once found, you have almost completed the most out of it. Feel free to ask anything you want about it

Much appreciated mate, thanks a lot. I will keep an eye out.

To know more about the pictures of mechanism you gave above, is already installed actuator part (in black, top part in your picture above) compatible with the motorized lower part? Or both are unique and come as one package?

It will be much helpful if we get a consolidated part number for all the parts, connectors, pins, wire guage, wire length and diagram as you have done it now. As a DIY thread.

The above picture shows the four door lock mechanisms with their motors and their adapters. To clarify that each door lock mechanism is connected through wires with a motor. (door lock mechanism and motor come as one part since are connected together from factory). I will give you below the part list with all parts needed. I believe if you read Hermann's (Alex) pdf carefully you will get everything you need to know for the installation. To be trully honest because i didn't have the knowledge to disassemble the car's door panels, trims and all that stuff, i have collected all the parts needed and asked from an official bmw dealer to do it for me. Because it's not an official retrofit from bmw, i had to give them every part for themselves (even the diagram from WDS and the DIY.pdf retrofit from my good friend Alex)

4pc. of socket contact ELO-Power 5,2x0,63 (61136901744)
4pc. of Pin-contact ELO- Power 5,2 x 0,63 (61136901733)
4pc. of Socket contact ELO-Power 2,8x0,63 (61138369634)
4pc. of Pin-contact ELO-Power 2,8 x 0,63(61138364835)
4pc. of socket housing (61138364520)
4 door soft close mechanisms (51217202151, 51217202156, 51227202157, 51227202158)
4 door soft close mechanism adapters (51217174631, 51217174632, 51217174633, 51217174634)
12pc. of nuts M5 (63259128043)
12pc of Torx screws (07147186859)

Below is the link from realoem.com with the aboove parts

Unfotunatelly bmw A.G has removed a WDS on line diagram page and i can't upload the diagram for you Feel free to ask anything else...
