Yes... But it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you HIRE someone to do it if you have never done it.
You need a couple of things if you don't mind wasting tint for practice...
1. Tint
2. Heat Gun
3. Baby Shampoo (I find this works best)
4. Spray Bottle
5. Hard Card (sometimes comes with the tint)
6. Squeegee (sometimes comes with the tint)
7. Patience
Mix the solution 1 part baby shampoo 10 parts water in the spray bottle.
The heat gun will help tremendously when you get to the bump on the tail light. Use the heat gun by warming the tint (careful not to melt it because it can melt) then stretching slightly and smoothing out the bubbles with the squeegee.
PM me for more details.
But seriously if you want to just get it done right the first time... Take it to a tinting shop/garage

It is good fun practicing and that is how you learn anyway... Just be prepared to waste tint.
I did my buddies X5 and they came out really good. I am also doing my own.

Don't do the film. I had both. Get them professionally sprayed. I sent you a PM about Jonstintedtails.com. Use him. For one, it will be cheaper than film. Second, it will look a lot better. Third, it will last.
Fourth, cost is around $110 for the whole job. I guarantee, film will cost you more.
